Doomed shelter dogs..."Taiwanese photographer Tou Chih-kang hangs his portraits of the final moments in the lives of shelter dogs for a public exhibition in Taoyuan, northern Taiwan. Tou has been visiting dog shelters for two years now, making human-like portraits that give a sense of dignity and esteem to some 400 canines, in hopes of educating the public on the proper care of pets. This year Taiwanese authorities will kill an estimated 80,000 stray dogs at 38 pounds scattered throughout the island." - ArtDaily.org

26th Annual Antique Car Run

The 26th Annual Antique Car Run is scheduled for Saturday, August 11, 2012.

There are cars from the 1800's to early 1900's and they tour between New London and New Brighton MN. They run down Schmidt Lake Road in Plymouth and stop for water and break at Chrystal Community Center in mid afternoon.

Pre-tours are scheduled on three days prior to the Run, August 8, 9 & 10.
